Copper Hills captures Region 3 title
Oct 24, 2017 - The 2017-18 Lady Grizzlies did something that their predecessors never did before -- win a region title. The win came at Herriman in three sets 25-18, 25-14, 25-18. Asiah Sopoaga had another double-double with 11 kills and 12 digs. Taela Laufiso flirted with a triple double with 9 kills, 9 digs and 15 assists. The win secured the Region 3 title and a first seed heading into the State playoffs next week. This years' Grizzlies end the season with the best record in Copper Hills history going 8-0 in region and 16-3 overall. CONGRATS on a big year!
Senior Night vs Taylorsville
Oct 17, 2017 - The Lady Grizzlies motivated to make senior night a memorable one for their teammates made quick work of Taylorsville in 3 sets 25-11, 25-18, 25-11. Asiah Sopoaga continued her stellar freshmen season with 8 kills while Keleni Fonua controlled the back row with 11 digs. It was the last home game for our seniors Morrigan Duncan, Baileigh Beebe, Keleni Fonua, Taela Laufiso, Katherine Nguyen and team manager, Sam Adamson. We will miss them but know they will do great things in the future.

Outsider Hitter, Payton Birch pitched with career highs 8 digs and 7 kills while hitting .294. The Grizzlies seem to win many of the longer rallies behind a stingy back row defense that refused to allow Herriman hitters to get one swing and out. Libero Keleni Fonua had 20 digs and Asiah Sopoaga had 26 digs along with 17 kills. Captain, Taela Laufiso continues her leadership on the court with 26 assists.
